While a single diamond will always be in fashion, 2017 is seeing a slight twist on the classic. Slightly bucking the halo trend, styles are going minimal, understated, and refined. Think a classic round diamond in the middle with two square diamonds on either side. Many people are favouring a twist of the band or prongs to give a single diamond a bit of an edge.<\/p>\n

For example, while the prongs fall at approximately where one, five, seven and 11 would fall on a clock for traditional four-pronged settings, newer settings are landing on three, six, nine and 12. A big trend from 2016 that will continue into 2017 is the bold use of colour. Rather than one single coloured stone, we\u2019ll see a movement towards accents. For example, a pink diamond halo.
